"The dimensions of one or more screenshots are wrong"
App Store Connect checks the pixel size against an exact list, so a file that is a few pixels off is refused with that message and no further detail. For iPhone 6.9-inch the accepted sizes are 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796, 2868 × 1320, and Apple also lists the landscape pairs of each.
The usual cause is a file exported for another class — a 6.5-inch capture uploaded into the 6.9-inch slot — or a tool that resized to something close but not exact. Re-export at one of the sizes above; nothing else clears it, because App Store Connect does not resize for you.

The rules that apply here
Only the largest display of each family is required
Apple asks for a 6.9-inch or 6.5-inch iPhone set and, for apps that run on iPad, a 13-inch set. Every smaller class is scaled from those unless you upload it.
The canonical targets are 1320 x 2868 and 2064 x 2752; the older 1290 x 2796 and 2048 x 2732 remain available and are still accepted.
Alpha channels are rejected
Screenshots cannot contain transparency, and a PNG carrying an alpha channel is refused even when every pixel is opaque.
Exports default to JPEG, and PNG output is re-encoded as 24-bit truecolor. Every file is inspected after encoding.
iPhone Duo has its own two screenshot sizes
The iPhone section now opens with iPhone Duo: 1398 x 2034 for the outer display and 2007 x 2853 for the inner one. Neither is close enough to the 6.9-inch ratio to be scaled from it.
Both sizes are available as targets and are optional: Apple has not published whether the class is required. Nothing in the studio asks for them until you pick them.
